VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The NextGen Focus Area Lead oversees discipleship experiences for youth and young adults within APOC's shared discipleship pathway. This role is responsible for organizing gatherings, facilitating biblically grounded discussions, and creating engaging environments that support spiritual growth and leadership development among the next generation. The Lead also recruits and supports volunteers, encourages participants toward next steps in their faith, and collaborates with lane leadership to ensure the ministry is running effectively.

The Clerk / Records Administrator maintains the church's official records, ensuring that membership information, attendance data, and historical documentation are accurately recorded, organized, and preserved. This role manages membership changes, baptism records, official meeting minutes, and governance documentation to uphold the integrity of the church's records. The Clerk also maintains organized archives and ensures that important documents remain accessible to leadership when needed.

The Health & Wellness Care Lead supports APOC's care ministry by promoting whole-person wellness across the church community through health awareness, education, and practical resources. This volunteer role coordinates wellness-focused workshops and ministry touchpoints, connects individuals to appropriate care support and community resources, and partners with care ministry leadership to address wellness-related needs within the congregation. The Lead also helps foster a culture of health and wellness at APOC while maintaining confidentiality and appropriate boundaries in all interactions.

The Legacy Circle Focus Area Lead oversees discipleship experiences for seasoned adults and legacy leaders within APOC's shared discipleship pathway. This role is responsible for organizing gatherings, facilitating meaningful discussions, and creating environments that foster spiritual growth, wisdom-sharing, and fellowship. The Lead also recruits and supports volunteers, keeps participants connected within church life, and collaborates with lane leadership to ensure the ministry is thriving and aligned.

The Children's Focus Area Lead oversees discipleship experiences for children within APOC's shared discipleship pathway, ensuring they are growing spiritually in safe, engaging, and age-appropriate environments. This role is responsible for organizing lessons and learning activities, supporting Scripture-based spiritual formation, and recruiting and equipping volunteers who serve in children's ministry. The Lead also coordinates with families and lane leadership regarding participation and schedules, while helping identify children and families who may need additional connection or encouragement.

The Women's Focus Area Lead oversees discipleship experiences designed to support the spiritual growth, fellowship, and leadership development of women at APOC. This role is responsible for organizing studies, gatherings, and discipleship circles while facilitating discussions and coordinating speakers that encourage healthy connection and next steps in faith. The Lead also recruits and supports volunteers, identifies women ready for mentoring or deeper discipleship, and collaborates with lane leadership to keep the ministry thriving and aligned.

The Care & Outreach Admin supports the Care & Outreach Department by organizing care requests, maintaining records, and coordinating communication. This role logs incoming care needs, schedules follow-ups or visits, and keeps confidential documentation updated. The position ensures leaders have clear visibility into care activity so they can focus on supporting people.

The Discipleship Admin provides administrative coordination and logistical support for the discipleship and leadership development lane. This role ensures classes, cohorts, and communication remain organized and supported.

The Online Experience Lead helps create a welcoming and engaging environment for those attending APOC services online. This role monitors livestream chat, welcomes guests, responds to questions or prayer requests, and connects viewers with church resources. The Online Experience Lead also collaborates with the Production Lead to ensure a smooth and high-quality online service experience.

The Men's Focus Area Lead oversees discipleship experiences designed to support the spiritual growth, fellowship, and leadership development of men at APOC. This role is responsible for organizing gatherings, Bible studies, and mentoring opportunities while facilitating discussions that encourage accountability, consistency, and next steps in faith. The Lead also recruits and supports volunteers, identifies men ready for deeper discipleship or leadership, and collaborates with lane leadership to ensure the ministry is growing and aligned.

The Prayer Lead coordinates APOC's prayer ministry by managing incoming prayer requests, recruiting and supporting prayer volunteers, and ensuring all requests are handled with confidentiality and respect. This role works closely with the Care & Connections Lead to make sure individuals in difficult life situations receive timely and appropriate spiritual support. The Prayer Lead also helps foster a culture of prayer within the church by coordinating prayer ministry during worship services and encouraging volunteers to serve with spiritual maturity and compassion.
